You visibly puncture a bill with a sharp object like a pen or pencil. Then, as if my by real magic, each fiber restores itself until the hole is gone.
Here's where things get crazy though. You can then just hand them the pen/pencil and bill to be examined. There's no weird, tricky pen that you have to hide, like with other similar effects.
